Jorakuden (the hall for Shogun visitations)

The Jorakuden hall for shogun visitations was added in 1634, together with accommodations for shogun visitors. It is the most formal structure in the Hommaru Palace, with panel paintings in the ceiling and fitted with richly colored carved wooden panels at the room's borders.
