Exploring motifs including water, thread, fabric, time, and gold, guests will experience the spirit of Nagoya's rich manufacturing heritage and the flow of time connecting the past to the future.

Corner Watchtowers and Stone Walls
西南隅櫓から東南隅櫓まで、石垣に沿って歩きながら、名古屋城が重ねてきた時間の層へ入り込む体験です。築城に携わった諸大名の功績、大小さまざまな石の表情、積み方の違いなど、普段は見過ごしがちな石垣の魅力を光が鮮やかに浮かび上がらせます。天守閣からあふれ出す黄金の輝きは、隅櫓、石垣、堀、園路へと連なり、城郭の雄大な輪郭を夜の闇に描き出します。歴史を眺めるだけでなく、その積層の中をそぞろ歩く――。《タイム・レイヤー》は、名古屋城の重厚さと奥深さを再発見する、圧巻の光の回廊です。
Corner Watchtowers and Stone Walls
Walk along the stone walls between the Southwest and the Southeast Corner Watchtowers and immerse yourself in the layers of time accumulated by Nagoya Castle. Lighting vividly highlights the charms of the stonework--often overlooked details such as the contributions of the various feudal lords involved in construction, the unique textures of stones large and small, and the varied stacking techniques.
The golden glow radiating from the tower keep extends to the corner watchtowers, stone walls, moats, and garden pathways, tracing the castle's majestic silhouette against the darkness of night. Into the Mist is an enchanting nighttime garden experience using delicate mist and light to accentuate the beauty of the terrain, trees, and ponds of the renowned Ni-no-maru Garden. At the Kita-Oike Pond, the distinctive glow created by amplifying limited light with a gold leaf-like effect is achieved using mist and lighting, bathing the entire space in a soft, golden light. At the dry pond, a more dynamic presentation vividly evokes the flow of water and the shimmering surface of a pond. 《イントゥ・ザ・ミスト》は、二之丸庭園の地形、樹木、池の美しさを、繊細な霧と光によって浮かび上がらせる幻想的な夜の庭園体験です。北御池では限られた光を金箔で増幅させる特徴的な輝きを、ミストとライティングで再現。空間全体に黄金色の柔らかい光を届けます。枯池ではより動きのある演出で、水の流れや、煌めく水面の様子を豊かに表現します。名古屋城に息づく美の風格を、夜の散策の中でご体感ください。

◎名古屋城夜間ライトアップ「Be GOLD」期間中、毎日20時から23時までの間、名古屋城天守閣において熊本城応援ライトアップを行います。（9月26日および27日を除く。）これは、令和8年熊本地震で被災された熊本の皆さまへ想いを寄せるとともに、石垣などに被害を受けながらも、地域の皆さまの心のよりどころとしてライトアップを続けられている熊本城へ、名古屋からエールを送る取り組みとして実施するものです。熊本城と連携し、名古屋城天守閣を熊本城天守閣と同じ色でライトアップするなど、両城のつながりを感じられる特別な内容で実施いたします。
◎During the Nagoya Castle illumination "Be GOLD" period, Nagoya Castle's tower keep will be lit up in support of Kumamoto Castle every evening from 8pm to 11pm. (Excluding September 26th and 27th.)
This initiative is being conducted to express our solidarity with the people of Kumamoto affected by the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake, and to send a message of support from Nagoya to Kumamoto Castle, which--despite damage to its stone walls and other structures--continues to be illuminated as a source of comfort for the local community. In collaboration with Kumamoto Castle, this special event will highlight the connection between the two castles, including illuminating Nagoya's main tower keep in the same colors as the Kumamoto's keep.
◎「令和8年熊本地震」の発生により熊本城の石垣などが被災したことに対し、名古屋城内では引き続き募金活動を行っております。 総合案内所などに募金箱を設置しておりますので、ご協力よろしくお願いいたします。集められた募金は、「熊本城災害復旧支援金」に寄附いたします。
◎In response to the damage sustained by Kumamoto Castle--including its stone walls--during the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake, we are conducting fundraising activities within Nagoya Castle's grounds. Donation boxes have been placed at various locations including the General Information Center, and we humbly ask for your support. All funds collected will be donated to the "Kumamoto Castle Disaster Recovery Fund."

名古屋城夜間ライトアップ「Be GOLD」は、世界小児がん啓発キャンペーン「Gold September 2026」に賛同し、9月26日および27日の20時から23時までの間、天守閣のゴールドライトアップを実施します。
In support of the global Childhood Cancer Awareness Campaign "Gold September 2026," Nagoya Castle will illuminate its main keep in gold from 8pm to 11pm on September 26 and 27 as part of the "Be GOLD" night-time illumination event.
